Alice in Wonderland

I recently watched my favorite Disney movie, Alice in Wonderland. Isn't weird that there is a stoned caterpillar that is smoking a hookah? I thought it was weird. I guess I am finally old enough to know what is going on. Haha. The movie came out in 1951. I guess it was ok for that to be in a Disney movie back then. I thought it was pretty funny.

An answer from the grocery store

I am not one to post long stories but I thought this one is a good one...

Last Wednesday I took the kids I nanny to the local grocery store to pick out something to make for dinner. We were in the produce area when an older man walked up to me and said "Hi I'm Norman the Mormon." He put out his hand and I shook it.

He said "This might be weird but I had a feeling that I needed to come talk to you." He explained to me that he thought I was a beautiful daughter of God and he could see the Holy Ghost with me.

He explained that him and his wife had recently come home from being mission presidents over a mission in England {what are the chances of that? haha}. He spent a few minutes explaining how righteous all the young men in his mission are and how they are starting to leave the mission and return home.

I was getting a little bugged at this man because he was rambling on and the kids were hungry. He asked if the kids were mine and I explained that I was their nanny. Without asking me if I was married or if I had a boyfriend he looked into my eyes and said "I feel like I need to tell you that you are going to find a wonderful husband and that he is out there right now looking for you."

Ok let me preface this... {long story short} I had been dating a boy for a while and about a month ago he decided that I wasn't the one for him. I had a really hard time dealing with this. I was wrestling with questions like "Why me?" "What is wrong with me?" Last Sunday I fasted that I would be able to deal with this break up and I would be able to accept that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and my husband is still out there. I said a really long pray asking for help knowing that everything is going to be ok.

To continue my story... This man explained to me that before we came to earth we already knew who our earthly familes were going to be. He told me that in Heaven we made a commitment to our spouses that we would live righteously and do everything that it takes to find them. He then said "I can see it in your eyes that you are living righteously and that you will find the one that you made a commitment to." He continued to say "I want you to know that Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us and things that happen are part of the plan and if we live righteously then everything will turn out how it is supose to."

He explained that he normally doesn't randomly go up to people and talk to them but he had a feeling when he saw me that he needed to talk to me.

Right after he was done a voice came over the intercom and a lady said "Hello Norman. This is your lovely wife. I am waiting for you at the front door. It's time to go home."

I watched him walk up to the front of the store and meet his wife. I starting crying as I saw them hold hands pushing the cart out to their car. The kids suddenly starting asking me what was wrong and why I was crying. I turned around and started to continue shopping when I felt like I should go tell Norman that he was an answer to my prayer and he said exactly what I needed to hear. I ran out the door {leaving the kids alone in the store. Shh.. don't tell}. I looked all around the parking lot but I couldn't find him anywhere.

I think that Heavenly Father knows that I am sometimes stubborn  and I'm not in tune enough to hear his still small voice. The only way I would listen is if a little old man told me straight to my face in the middle of a grocery store. This was such an amazing experience. Next time you get the feeling like you should say something to someone please don't ignore it. Thank you Norman for being an answer to my prayer.
